At Kidsafe ACT, our strategic plan is guided by a simple belief — every child deserves to grow, learn, and play safely. We focus our efforts on preventing unintentional childhood injuries through education, advocacy, and collaboration with families, government, and community partners.
We will expand our community outreach programs and safety workshops to ensure families, carers, and educators have the knowledge and tools to create safer environments for children. Our focus areas include home safety, road and transport safety, and product safety awareness.
We will continue to advocate for stronger child safety standards, policies, and practices across the ACT and beyond. By working with government, industry, and community organisations, we aim to influence decisions that protect children and prevent injuries.
Partnership is at the heart of everything we do. We will build and strengthen collaborations with local health services, schools, early childhood centres, and community groups to amplify the reach and impact of our programs.
We are committed to innovation — using research, technology, and best practice to improve the way we deliver safety education and resources. We’ll continue developing accessible tools, digital learning resources, and safety campaigns that meet the needs of modern families.
To continue our mission well into the future, we will strengthen our financial sustainability, governance, and workforce capability. This ensures that Kidsafe ACT remains a trusted, effective, and enduring advocate for children’s safety in the ACT community.
We will place families and young people at the centre of our work by empowering them to take an active role in child safety. Through co-designed programs, practical resources, and interactive learning opportunities, we aim to build confidence, skills, and awareness.
Through this strategic direction, Kidsafe ACT will continue to lead with integrity, compassion, and expertise — working towards a future where every child in the ACT can grow up in a safe and supportive environment.
